Covered.

Covered. The name of a new product that I'm developing. It is an enclosure in the shape of a vase. I have developed a new material consisting of paper and fabric. I recycle old newspapers to the origin (paper fibers). I also use old recycled wool sweaters. The bonding of the two processes in fact is going on in the same way. Add this together and it creates a new substance. The cover has a dual function and can be changed by color using snaps. The intention is to use this cover for a bottle or package that you would normally throw away and what you can use now for flowers. Completely recycled, upcycled, durable and handmade.

The way it works is like both materials (wool and paper fibers) have, if you zoom in, a saw pattern. If you use the process felting are these saw pattern going to mix. If you use a lot of these wool and paper fibers and going to use the felting process then you'll get a fabric.

I'm now experimenting with only the paper fibers. Hopefully I'll get the glue out of the paper so I'll get the basis of the newspaper what would be cotton fibers or linen fibers. If I could get these fibers I could make new fabric. I hope this experiment would be succesful and make from recycled paper new fabrics.
